WHERE HEALING MEETS GROWTH: WHERE PAIN BECOMES PURPOSE

What if the wounds we carry aren’t juts burdens to bear, but catalysts for the stronger version of ourselves?

Too often, we separate healing from growth. We believe that we must ‘fix’ first what’s broken before we can move forward. But the truth is, these two forces can meet in the quiet moments of self-reflection, in the courage to face what hurts, and while we are building something new from what we’ve learned.

But, what if pain turns to book? Will you read it?

Writing is Anna’s one way to express herself. As she grew older, she realized that a pen is sharper than any tool. She know she’s not the only one who is wounded, who experiences pain, and who feels lost in life.

She believe sharing her stories will remind everyone that they are not alone. There are a million reasons to live. Words can do a lot to make someone feel better. By publishing this book, she hope everyone will be enlightened and renewed.

In the past years, I have been through a lot and encountered some trials that made me who I am today. I lost, I cried, and I almost died, but then again, I don’t allow those dark moments to infiltrate my whole system. I learned that, at the end of the day, I only have myself. Only me can make my life better. Only me can heal myself, and only me can love myself in ways that anyone else never could,” she said.

Our author is kind of strong. According to her, the most challenging aspect of writing this book is fighting and mending the wounds that were left within herself. But then again, she didn’t let the past pain ruin her; instead, she used that as her avenue to finish the book.

She wrote the book during her healing stage, and she realized that writing all her sorrows and grievances will somehow help her to let go of all the negative emotions and feelings that she feel.

As a writer, I always write with authenticity and being true to myself. I am true about my experiences and how it molds me to become better. I believe real healing only occurs when we face what actually shaped us. However, I was also aware that my words might have a potential impact on others, even if unintentionally. If there are moments that is seen as sensitive, I described them clearly while also protecting the identities and dignity of those involved.

I truly focused on my emotions, my growth, and my lessons, not revealing the details about other people.

My goal was not to point fingers or to blame others—I want to show how pain can shape us and how healing becomes possible when we allow ourselves to be honest yet compassionate.

She also added:

To everyone who will read my book, I hope they are not afraid to face their traumas and pain. I also hope, if possible, they will see a therapist or do anything that makes their soul ignite.

There’s a moment that I want to seek help and see a therapist, but fear eats me first. I am afraid that people will judge me, and I don’t want my family to feel bad and worry about me. So instead, I wrote everything.

The world is so harsh, but I hope for those readers who will read my book; I encourage them to help themselves and not let the fear or agony invade their being. Life is so much more wonderful when you are brave enough to embrace your true self.

Knowing her audience is her first step in writing. She wrote this book for those who feel empty, lost, and wounded and who seek their purpose. Just like her (mid-20s and above), she experienced those kinds of emotions that made her feel weak and lonely. But she hope that reading this book will help the readers to embrace their vulnerability until they know what healing and growth feel like.

Also, this book is for her younger self.

“If I were to meet my younger self, I would like to tell her that I am so proud of her. Our childhood dream is already happening.

Looking back when I was in my school days, they used to tell me, “Walang kwenta ang pagsusulat na ‘yan. Wala kang mapapala diyan.” Those words were still embedded in my mind until I grew up, so I used that as my motivation to pursue my passion in writing and proved to them that they were wrong.

I also want to tell her that we finally made it. Although Papa is not here to witness this milestone, I know he is truly proud and continuously cheering and watching me from above.

One of the most common misconceptions about healing, which she hope “Where Healing Meets Growth” dispels, is that the belief of healing is a linear and predictable process. Perhaps, a lot of people believe that once you decide to heal, everything will immediately make sense and getting better each day.

She want people/readers to understand that healing does not imply forgetting the past pain, and becoming someone different. Instead, it’s about learning to carry your wounds with strength and compassion, even if sometimes it still hurts.

If there’s one misconception she want to dispel, it’s the idea that healing is a linear process and it should look perfect. The truth is, it’s chaotic and messy—but it’s in that messiness where real transformation happens. It is allowing yourself to grow in the places you once got hurt.
