Happy #8LettersLitFest!
Dear Writers and Bookworms,
This email is your official invitation to the 8Letters LitFest event from 14 – 16 April. We can’t wait to celebrate the annual 8Letters LitFest with you.
What is an 8Letters LitFest?
Firstly, let’s define what the annual LitFest is all about. When we started it a few years back, our aim was to gather authors and readers under one roof and celebrate our passion for literature. The first litfest was held in 2018, in Manila. The cafe was packed for the whole afternoon where we listened to book talks and an indie singer playing his guitar.
The LitFest has evolved online as we aim to reach more readers and writers. And now, look at you – attending our international event along with 300+ literature lovers!
Here’s a rundown of the whole program. Pay attention to the link where you can participate in the talks and online market.

2:00 p.m. – Using AI in Creating Books with Cindy Wong (Watch it here: https://bit.ly/3KWbMJk)
𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙬𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙣 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙄 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚. In light of this, our CEO, Cindy Wong has offered to share her perspective as a writer and publisher and discuss the use of AI in writing and book creation.
One potential advantage of using AI to create books is that it can potentially streamline the writing process and help authors overcome writer’s block. However, 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙮 𝙥𝙪𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙖 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙚. Writing requires a deep understanding of language, storytelling, and human emotions, which may be difficult for AI to fully replicate.
This talk will cover various topics, including the current legal landscape surrounding AI-generated content, the unwritten rules of etiquette for using AI in writing, and more. We hope to provide insight into AI’s potential benefits and drawbacks in the creative process by discussing these issues.
