Bringing Stories Home: Why 8Letters Is Sending Children’s Books to Philippine Communities

In the Philippines today, too many children are growing up without books. Recent national assessments show that literacy levels remain alarmingly low, with many young learners struggling to read at the expected grade level. Behind every statistic is a child who wants to learn but lacks the tools — a classroom with empty shelves, a library without storybooks, a community where reading materials are a luxury rather than a norm.

This is why we started our project of bringing quality children’s books to local schools, libraries, and communities in the Philippines.
