Novie Ada B. Urbis
Novie Ada B. Urbis, 34 years old, is from San Juan, Ilocos Sur. She is an Assistant Professor IV at the University of Northern Philippines in Vigan City. She earned her degree, Doctor of Philosophy in Linguistics at the Mariano Marcos State University of Batac City where she dealt with Psychology, Sociology, and Philosophy of Language as her core subjects. She also has Master of Arts in Teaching English in UNP. She authored a research titled “Linguistic Fillers: University Teachers’ Experience” published in Asian Journal of Education and Human Development. She is also the main author of a research titled “Politeness Strategies in Online Classroom Chats”. She has been teaching in Languages and Humanities for 13 years now.
