If you’re struggling in life or your career, and your family or relatives are criticizing you for being an underachiever despite years of hard work and completing college, it’s okay to start over.

My psychiatrist told me that it’s perfectly fine to restart your life.

However, I explained that the problem often lies within the traditional Filipino mindsets—an external factor deeply rooted in our culture that we have been trying to change for years, but many still remain close-minded.

We struggle with mental illness while trying to adapt to a society that judges us, even though this mental illness is amplified by these very external influences.
