About the author:

Joseph Torrijos is a poet and songwriter. In this collection of poems, spoken word pieces, and songs, he tells the story of a colorful and joyfil childhood in the ’90s, the bittersweet pull of long-distance relationships, and the quiet patriotism of a Filipino expat.

A graduate of the University of the Philippines Diliman, he currently lives in Paris, where he regularly performs poetry in the city’s bars and cafes. At present, he is also a member of Pinoy Jam Paris (PJP), a Franco-Filipino association that aims to promote the Filipino culture in France through music.
