To her acquaintances, Doc Jenny is a vibrant girl with a child-like heart, like her favorite book character from “The Little Prince.” Her infectious laughter and unique brand of humor are two traits that make her endearing to people fortunate enough to be within her sphere. Within her core and unknown to many, however, is a deeply-contemplative soul who marvels at the simplest of things, ponders over the tedium of everyday living, and dreams about life’s possibilities.

This collection of poems is a narrative of how this soul interrogates through every challenge that comes her way, how she navigates through her personal journey, and how hope triumphs, regardless.
