Description
This collection of poetry is an ode to the human body while lying down. There are poems inspired or despaired by the sight of it, with or without life. Others are perceptions and imaginations uttered in the first person while assuming this particular position – voluntarily or otherwise. It is about the body lying down and its dreams and nightmares, inspirations and desperations, pleasures and pains, caressed or tortured, in love and in hate. To quote the subtitle, these are “poems about and from the body lain or lying on any surface – steady or unsteady, dead or alive.”
