At times playful, solemn, mushy, and sardonic what unites many of the poems in Lev Rosario’s collection is an obsessive anxiety with memory. Matter and light, speech and sounds that are slipping away from the poet’s grasp. Personal memories are at the heart of even the most fantastical parts of this collection. Made fantastic for the enjoyment of both the poet and the reader.

This collection is then a sort of “crypto-diary.” Unable to find time and motivation to sustain a consistent journaling habit, the poet used sound and metaphor to keep and explore the impressions made on him by even the most momentary event.
