Marwin Estremos is a Filipino writer and seafarer whose work explores love, loss, and the distances in between—both literal and emotional. Much of his writing is shaped by life at sea, where solitude sharpens memory and distance reveals truth.
His work explores attachment, over-giving, betrayal, and the quiet process of reclaiming oneself after loving too much. Distances We Call Love is his first collection—a deeply personal work that traces the arc of a relationship from intensity to unraveling, and ultimately, to self-return.
